Liam Hemsworth turned 22 on Friday the 13th, but it was a very lucky day for him. The Aussie hunk received a special present from his girlfriend Miley Cyrus -- a new dog.
The singer-actress, 19, shared the puppy love with her Twitter followers Tuesday, even though the Hunger Games star's birthday was still a couple days away.
"Got Liam THE best bday pressie ever! Thank you for putting the cherry on top and making Liam's bday a TT!," she twittered.
Then Cyrus, who has been dating Hemsworth for more than two years, introduced the adorable pet to her fans. "Meet Ziggy," the former Hannah Montana star captioned a photo of her boyfriend's adorable new pup.
Cyrus also shared that Ziggy was almost named after another cultural reference -- Daisy Dukes -- but she vetoed the name.
"Liam wanted to name her that! I said NOOO WAY! Shes an angel! she loves her bro & sis too!" she writes.
An outspoken advocate of animal rescue, Cyrus even gave her fans tips on how they, too, could find a new puppy to love.
"If you live in LA & looking to rescue an adorable pup like Ziggy let me know! I have an amazing rescue! So many pups in need of a mommy!"
