Something strange is going on with the Cyrus clan, and it's spilling over onto Twitter. On Monday night, Miley Cyrus sent out an odd tweet directed at her father, Billy Ray Cyrus. "Since you won't reply to my texts I'm giving you an hour to tell the truth or I'll tell it for you," read the message. What's even more interesting is the thing that was posted alongside it: a photograph of Miley alongside an unidentified woman.
Just moments later, the tweet vanished, and was replaced by a message suggesting that Miley's account had been hacked.
Wtf? My twitter was just actin all types of cray!— Miley Ray Cyrus (@MileyCyrus) June 25, 2013
Whether intentional or not, this is the second hostile message that Miley has tweeted to her father since June 13 -- which is when Tish filed for divorce from Billy Ray. After the news hit the press, Miley sent this (now-deleted) tweet: "@billyraycyrus Since your texts and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?"
We don't know what's going on with the Cyrus family, but it doesn't sound good. This is the second time that Miley's country-star dad and manager mom have filed for divorce; three years ago, it was Billy Ray who took the initiative. At that time, her father actually blamed Miley's career for the split, telling GQ that "Hannah Montana destroyed my family." He also made lots of comments about his daughter's bad behavior, particularly that salvia-smoking video. Then the divorce was dropped, and it seemed like everything had been mended. "I feel like I got my Miley back," Billy Ray said on The View.
Sounds like that may not be the case anymore.
Could the recent changes in 20-year-old Miley's life -- her sexy new image, her sly drug references, her possible split from longtime boyfriend Liam Hemsworth -- have something to do with the rift between herself and her dad? If Billy is still worried about his baby girl growing up too fast, her risque "We Can't Stop" video probably didn't help matters. Her recent makeover has been so extreme, in fact, that we wonder if she's deliberately provoking her parents.
Or maybe that's not it at all. Miley's threatening tweet seems to imply that there's another woman in Billy Ray's life. The picture doesn't offer too many clues; it's definitely recent (judging from Miley's haircut) and looks like it's taken in a backstage area. It's not a self-portrait; it was snapped by someone else. (Billy Ray?) And while Miley doesn't look thrilled, she seems happy enough to be taking a picture with the smiling mystery lady.
The sad thing is that all of this is out in the open, offering clues for people like us to try and piece together. Thanks to the paparazzi, we also know that Tish and Billy Ray reunited on Monday for a pizza dinner with daughter Noah, 13. So the two of them seem to be doing okay. But then Noah tweeted this not too long ago:
Please pray for me and my family. Xxo.— Noah Lindsey Cyrus (@noahcyrus) June 14, 2013
Seems like no one in that family knows how to live a private life anymore. Hopefully Miley and Billy Ray will figure out how to mend things again -- preferably offline.
