She may have given up her Twitter vice, but that doesn't mean Miley Cyrus is a good role model for the youth of today -- at least not according to the youth of today.
The readers of AOL's tween site JSYK (Just So You Know) voted her the worst celebrity influence.
Getting 42 percent of the votes, Miley beat out stars with far more scars on their public record to win the big, bad-influence mantle. Coming in second was Kanye West, and right behind him was Queen of Bad Decisions Herself, Britney Spears.
Interestingly enough, according to Reuters, Miley fared pretty well in a more-flattering category: Favorite Female Artist. She was voted number four, just behind Taylor Swift, Katy "I Kissed A Girl" Perry and the number-one fave, Beyonce.
The voters in the AOL poll didn't give reasons for why they voted Miley to the top of the "bad" list, but the editor of the site suspects it may have something to do with Miley's growing pains on the celebrity stage.
"I think her fans still want her to be the sweet Hannah Montana and she is trying to age up...Parents are definitely resisting it," JSYK.com editor Stephanie Cohen said.
Reuters detailed other possible reasons for Miley's poor showing in the poll, including: "controversially dating a 20-year-old model, making 'slant eyes' in an informal snapshot criticized as mocking Asians, and being accused of pole-dancing on a teen awards show."
