As Bravo's resident love doctor, Stanger, 48, takes wealthy, single men (and occasionally female "millionairesses") and uses no-nonsense business strategies to set them up with their dream mates. She may have her skeptics, but Stanger lets her impressive success rate do the talking. And if that's not enough, she's walking proof that her service works: She met her own fiancé, real-estate executive Andy Friedman, through a matchmaker more than five years ago.
So, what makes Stanger a dating expert? She uses rules that have passed down through generations. "Some of the best advice I received from my mother is to date a spare and a pair," she tells iVillage. "Date three people at the same time until the right person pops."
