Starlet Mischa Barton, whose character was killed in a car wreck on The O.C. last week, is glad to be dead.
Last Thursday, Mischa's counterpart, Marissa Cooper, died in the arms of ex-boyfriend Ryan (Ben McKenzie) after Ryan lost control of his SUV and crashed.
For some reason, Mischa was interviewed by Newsweek, which is, like, totally, you know, not one of her typical forums like Seventeen or CosmoGirl. Here are some of her deep thoughts:
On getting killed off: “Well, I was really excited that I get to die, to be honest. I’ve done pretty much everything else with the character. It was better than one of those lame farewells."
On making a move to (bad) movies: “But I really think it’s best to do movies now,” says Mischa, who co-stars with Hayden Christensen in 2007's Guilty Pleasures.
On her next step: “I was also thinking of spending a month in London, living there and taking a course in acting,” she says. “Sometimes it’s nice to go back to your roots.”
On ever returning to The O.C. in a dream sequence: “Oh, God. I hope not. That would be cheesy.”
