In a press conference this morning, Donald Trump deemed Miss California worthy of keeping her crown, despite the media frenzy surrounding her views on same-sex marriage and those scantily-clad photos that have surfaced.
"She gave a very honest answer when asked a tough question," the Donald said of Miss USA runner-up, Carrie Prejean. "It was the same answer the president of the United States gave ... She has to be commended."
What about the pics of her topless and in a pair of skimpy undies?
"We are in the 21st century. We have determined that the pictures taken were fine."
As for Carrie, she told the press that she was grateful to Trump for "believing in her" and called all the attacks on her "vicious and mean-spirited." The beauty queen got all choked up when talking about what it means to be an American and having the right to speak her mind.
My favorite part of the whole thing was how she continually referred to Perez Hilton (who asked the question that started all of this) as "Judge No. 8" -- never using his name.
I'm pretty sure lightening wouldn't strike if she said it out loud.
What do you think of Trump's decision? Should Miss California be allowed to keep her crown?
