Miss USA's Pole-Dancing Past

Has new winner Rima Fakih subjected Donald Trump's beauty pageant to yet more embarrassment?

Is the Miss USA crown tarnishing again? It seems like it's one scandal after another for the annual beauty pageant (hello, Tara Connor and Carrie Prejean!). And now the latest winner, Miss Michigan Rima Fakih -- who only pinned the tiara onto her well-coifed head this past weekend -- is landing in the news for a reckless moment in her past.

Just one day after the 24-year-old became the first Arab-American to ever win the Miss USA title, photos have surfaced of the Lebanese beauty in racy attire, getting down on a stripper pole in a bar.

The 2007 images were released by Detroit radio show Mojo in the Morning and were taken at the program's Stripper 101 pageant.

"Rima was our overall winner of the best student Stripper 101," morning show host Mojo told E! News. "We do it every July. We give away awards for the best pole dancing, the best lap dancing and the best booty shake."

This year's Miss USA contestants were under fire leading up to the pageant when official promo pics of the girls were released, showing the ladies in provocative lingerie. But Donald Trump, owner of the once-wholesome Miss USA franchise, defended the photos, telling Ryan Seacrest that the pics may be "wild....But the girls are incredible."

So, does that mean Fakih will escape feeling the heat from these hot shots? Not necessarily.

"We just got a phone call from some of the people from the pageant," radio host Mojo said Monday. "They were kind of insinuating to us that she could be in trouble for doing this [dancing] contest."

"They asked for copies of all the pictures, and they wanted the specifics of what happens at the event," he adds. "They did not ask us to stop giving them out, although they didn't seem very pleased that they were on the website....It would be foolish to think differently of Rima based on a contest that happened three years ago.

"We would hope this wouldn't harm anything as far as her status with the pageant and the upcoming Miss Universe pageant."
