So Dreamy! See What Happens When One Mom's Artistic Talent Meets Her Sweetly Sleeping Baby

Queenie Liao created gorgeous artworks as backdrops while her son unknowingly posed for photos

When we sleep, we’re not exactly ready for our close-ups. (We’re not going to lie: Sometimes there’s drool and zit cream involved.) But when our children sleep, they’re perfect angels worthy of a thousand photographs as we ponder what their sweet dreams may be.

California-based artist and mom of three Queenie Liao has taken that concept to another level, thanks to a series of amazing photographs of her son Wengenn in peaceful slumber. Using regular household items like stuffed animals and clothes as her canvas, she paints fanciful scenes and places her son within their contexts when he falls asleep. She cites her inspiration as classic fairy tales, as well as the works of Anne Geddes and Adele Enersen.

Check out some of the most spectacular images from her collection, which began in 2010 when her son was only three months old. (You can see more in her Facebook album, "Wengenn in Wonderland.") Dreamy, indeed.
