Mom Straps Gas Can in Car Seat Instead of Toddler

You know gas prices are out of control when some people treat a gallon of the stuff as more precious than their own child. In one unbelievable example, cops in Colorado conducting a routine traffic stop discovered that the female driver had removed her toddler from his car seat so that she could strap in a can of gasoline, according to Yahoo News. No one in the car, including the woman, the toddler and a 14-year-old child, was wearing a seat belt. The best part of the story: The Colorado Department of Transportation posted the photo on its Facebook wall, urging viewers to "please be responsible and make sure children are properly restrained in the appropriate child safety seat." The unidentified woman was cited for a seat belt violation -- and continues to receive a Facebook flogging.
