chime in nowThe Mompreneurs: Kirsten Quigley, Cristina Bourelly and Jennie Stoller Barakat of 3greenmoms’ LunchSkins snack bags
The Birth Story: Worried that our planet is turning into a rubbish heap? So were Quigley and Bourelly when they learned that more than 20 million sandwich bags from school lunches go into landfills every day in the U.S. In 2008, these moms created LunchSkins -- food-safe, dishwasher-friendly and attractive reusable bags. Made from a thick cotton fabric coated with a food-safe polyurethane liner, the bags are grease- and moisture-proof -- and have helped save 12 million plastic baggies from landfills! Third mom and creative director Stoller Barakat designed the bags’ bold, graphic prints.
