Crumbling Cakes

Problem: The cake you spent hours baking broke into a bunch of pieces

Quick fix: To glue a cake back together, spread frosting along the edge of each broken piece and reassemble. If your cake is really crumbly—a sign that you might have overmixed the batter, used too much flour or not enough butter or sugar. If frosting won’t do the trick, use the cake pieces to make a delicious trifle (simply layer with pudding and fresh or defrosted frozen fruit).
