Monitor Your Meds

Any medication that dilates blood vessels, like hydralazine or loniten, can also trigger a migraine. Other medications that may act as a trigger include: Cimetidine, fenfluramine, indomethacin, nitroglycerine, nifedipine, theophylline, Reserpine-containing drugs and estrogen in hormone replacement therapy or birth control pills.

Talk to your doctor if you are taking one of these medications and you think it's causing migraines. He can suggest other medications with a similar therapeutic action that are less likely to instigate an attack.
