With school set to let out soon, bans many institutions placed on Silly Bandz—the popular, whimsically shaped silicone bracelets—are a non-issue: Kids will be free to wear and trade them around the clock. And just in time, new Silly Bandz necklaces will hit store shelves in late June.
I’m wondering, though: What about the concern that Silly Bandz were cutting off kids’ circulation when worn (in large quantities) as bracelets? Could similar necklaces be a strangulation hazard?
