Ready for a Baby? The Most Fertile Day of the Year Is Coming Up!

Christmas, eggnog, mulled wine, cookies, gifts -- and, it would seem, lots of hanky panky. No wonder it's considered the most wonderful time of the year!

In the U.K., Sept. 16 is the most common birthday according to birth records, London's Daily Mail reports, which, in turn, marks Dec. 11 (40 weeks before the date) as the year's most fertile day. But, really, any time in December seems popular when it comes to a little winter lovin'. The newspaper notes that the top 10 most common birthdays in the U.K. all fall on September dates.

There appears to be a similar pattern in the United States, too: ABC News reported the most common birthday in America is Oct. 5 -- which, using the same wisdom, would mean Dec. 31 is the hottest day to get busy stateside.

New Year's Eve party for two, anyone? Enjoy it now, people, because if you have a baby next year you'll be lucky to stay awake long enough to watch the ball drop!
