Music royalty ruled the red carpet at the 1991 Academy Awards, as the King and Queen of Pop shared the limelight. Madonna, who performed the Oscar-winning "Sooner or Later" from Dick Tracy, invited Michael Jackson as her plus-one to the grand event. Dazzling visions in white and sequins, the power couple (who claimed to be just friends) took their front-row seats and seemed to enjoy every minute of the show. According to People, Madonna was overheard whispering to Jackson, "I can't believe all this. …What a night! I'm having such a good time!"
