Rocking Out! Most Memorable Super Bowl Halftime Shows

Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock (2004)

Without question, 2004's halftime show at Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston has to be the most famous -- or infamous -- of all time. When Janet Jackson strutted out on stage to perform "All For You" and "Rhythm Nation," she looked fierce and at the top of her game. Miss Jackson was then joined by Justin Timberlake, who brought the house down with his hit "Rock Your Body." As the sexy stars sang and danced together, it seemed as if this might be one of the best halftime performances yet -- until Nipplegate happened. As J.T. sang the lyric "gonna have you naked by the end of this song," he tore away a piece of Janet's top to reveal her right breast covered only by a pasty. Fortunately for the FCC, their set ended right at that moment. Janet claimed she experienced a "wardrobe malfunction" and that Justin was supposed to only reveal the red fabric of her bustier -- for a NSFW clip of the performance, click here. The peep show definitely overshadowed P. Diddy, Nelly and Kid Rock's performances that night -- sorry guys!
