Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant

Release Date: Oct. 23
In a Nutshell: Based on British author Darren Shan's bestselling novels for young readers aged 9 to 12, this live-action fantasy is about two bored boys who meet a genuine vampire (John C. Reilly) at a local freak show. The bloodsucker changes their lives in mysterious, and humorous, ways.
Why We Can't Wait: Vampires couldn't be hotter right now, and any tween that's inhaled Stephanie Meyer's Twilight series will want to attend. And another upside: the movies could easily inspire our kids to read Shan's books.
Rated: PG-13
Age Clearance: If you're child has seen Twilight, they'll whiz through this. Otherwise, rule of thumb is 13+.
Trailer: Watch it here.
