Okay, so I realize that I am waaaay behind on the Twilight craze, having just discovered that I am absolutely obsessed with it, but that doesn't make me any less excited about all of its MTV Movie Award nominations.
Seven, to be exact, as the vampire flick got nods for best female performance for Kristen Stewart and breakthrough performance male recognition for my Edward, Robert Pattinson, and cutie Taylor Lautner. Right behind the vamp is Slumdog Millionaire with six noms. Oh, and Angelina Jolie is nominated for best kiss with James McAvoy in Wanted.
For the first time, the 2009 nominations were selected by the fans! There are also two new categories, best song from a movie and best WTF moment from an outrageous scene in a movie (hello, Jason Segel's nakedy business in Forgetting Sarah Marshall).
This year's awards are being hosted by Saturday Night Live's Andy Samberg, with a scheduled musical appearance by Eminem. The show airs May 31st -- don't miss it.
