My Special Moms

As a 29 yr old adoptee I found my birth mother last year. It was not at all an insult to my adoptive mom, whom I have wonderful memories of as any mom and child should. The great moment was not meeting my birthmom or the joy I felt in my adoptive mom's support. It was last summer when my mom came to visit from Arizona and went to meet my birth mother. We had a great afternoon of stories and swimming and two grandmas for my five kids (the last two are twins) and the overall wonderully happy experience of being surrounded by so much love.

To be accepted as a baby by a mother that had not one drop of my blood and then to be accepted as an adult by a mother who had never laid eyes on me. What love it must have taken for both of these mothers to sacrifice for my happiness. I can't explain the pride when someone asks how my mom deals with me searching and finding my birth mother and I can say they are friends!
