Nany's Klozet's Summer Escape Checklist: "Every Girl Should Put on Her Cutest Outfit and Bike Around Town"

Style blogger Daniela Ramirez shares her favorite way to enjoy the sunny weather

I feel very lucky to live in Miami; we get to enjoy amazing weather all year round (yes, I know…I say this a lot but we have to be thankful for all the little things). But, no matter where you live, there’s something about summer that makes you want to spend as much time as possible outdoors—and for me, that means hopping on my bike.

When I was little, my dad and I would spend hours having fun together on our bikes, so when I moved to downtown Miami, I knew it was time to start up again. I love that I can go to the drugstore or to close-by restaurants on it—but my favorite place to bike is definitely the boardwalk. Sometimes I even dress up and have been known to bike (carefully) in a maxi and heels!

I start my route on the Bass Museum of Art (where the boardwalk actually starts). Then I stop midway and head out to the beach for a second; I’ve been living in Miami for 8 years now, and I still get so amazed by the color of the water. The vibe on the boardwalk is amazing, you see people with their dogs, roller-skating and just enjoying the city. Next a quick break to reapply sunblock. (I’ve been trying out Hawaiian Tropic® Sheer Touch Ultra Radiance lotion sunscreen and loving it: it’s light and doesn’t drip on me or my clothes as I pedal.) I finish my tour at South Pointé Park, which is one of my favorite parks in the area—gorgeous views and scenery!
