chime in nowWho They Are: The National Military Family Association was founded in 1969 by military wives who wanted to ensure military widows were properly cared for. Today the group fights to ensure military families' rights and needs are addressed.
What They Do: A scholarship program helps ensure that spouses of uniformed services members are able to advance their own careers and provide for their families. The National Military Family Association also runs Operation Purple, which are summer camps for children whose parents were recently deployed and for families that need help reconnecting after a deployment.
How You Can Help: Donations may be made through NMFA's website.
