Good News for 'NCIS: Los Angeles' and 'The Good Wife'

After three impressive weeks, CBS has picked up NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife for a full season.

Both shows have been smash hits for the network on Tuesday nights. The NCIS spinoff is averaging 17.5 million viewers, tops for new shows this season and ranks second behind the original series for the title of most-watched primetime series.

Who said LL Cool J couldn't co-star on a primetime drama?

The Good Wife, starring Julianna Margulies, is averaging nearly 14 million viewers. Ex-New York governor Eliot Spitzer’s prostitution scandal from 2008 serves as the inspiration for the series, which also features Matt Czuchry and Chris Noth.

Other new series that have been picked up for the entire season include The Cleveland Show and Glee. Modern Family, Cougar Town and FlashForward could soon be additions to that list based on the early ratings. The only causality so far during the new television season has been the CW’s The Beautiful Life.
