Have you ever thought, “If I had a team of personal trainers and nutrition experts focused on getting me fit, I could really get in shape”?
Well here's your chance. iVillage has teamed up with the President’s Challenge Program to develop a free six-week online program designed to get us all off the couch and start eating well and exercising.
The iVillage Get Moving Now Community Challenge will give you daily access to a team of coaches, including the First Family’s own personal trainer, Cornell McClellan; White House assistant chef Sam Kass; Olympic gold and silver medalists Michelle Kwan, Dominique Dawes and Allyson Felix; New Orleans Saints Quarterback Drew Brees; and basketball player Grant Hill, who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers.
And because no one should have to go it alone, America’s Doctor, Surgeon General Regina Benjamin, M.D., is taking the challenge, too. Who ever thought our workout buddy would be the Surgeon General herself? Every week she’ll blog about her successes and hurdles to help keep us motivated. Hey, if a woman as busy as she is can find the time to exercise and eat right, we probably can, too.
If you finish the Challenge will earn you a Presidential Active Lifestyle Award, and you'll have a chance to win some great prizes.
