As you've no doubt heard, the irrepressible NeNe Leakes has re-married her ex-husband, Gregg Leakes, and managed to spin an entire TV show out of planning the wedding. (Did anyone really think the Real Housewives of Atlanta star would watch her enemy/castmate Kim Zolciak do this last year, and not insist on the same opportunity?) I Dream of NeNe: The Wedding premieres Sept. 17 at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
Worth watching? That depends. Do you like the idea of seeing Leakes boss around her bridesmaids (who include Cynthia Bailey and Marlo Hampton) and joyfully embrace the bridezilla stereotype as she arranges the most lavish ceremony imaginable (with celebrity wedding planner Tiffany Cook)? Then this show's for you.
Here's what we know about the ceremony. "The first time we had a nice-sized wedding," Leakes said during a visit to The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Very traditional. So this time I want to be over-the-top and very fairy tale." Watch the clip below.
No doubt an episode of the series will be dedicated to the bachelorette party. Leakes tweeted a photo of her girls-only (plus camera crew) trip to Cancun, Mexico -- where she and friends visited a spa, practiced surfing, and presumably drank a lot of cocktails with little umbrellas.
The June wedding itself, held at a posh Atlanta hotel and officiated by the TV judge Greg Mathis, featured several bridesmaids (clad in white) and 400 guests. Among them was a pregnant Zolciak, who reportedly even played nice. "She had a huge smile as Nene walked down the aisle," a source told Life and Style magazine.
The guests also included reality TV dynamos like Jill Zarin, Patti Stanger and Omorosa Manigault, among other famous faces. And according to Stanger, they partied well into the night. "We danced till dawn," she said.
If you do indeed dream of Ne Ne, be sure to tune in come September!
