Parenting TMI on Facebook? There's an App for That!

A new app lets you share kid milestones and accomplishments -- without annoying your Facebook friends

There are probably two groups in your pool of Facebook friends: one comprised of grandparents, aunties and close friends who can’t enough of junior’s every darling remark and milestone -- and the other group, made up of friends from grade school, acquaintances-of-acquaintances and childless friends who consider blocking you and your kid-centric status updates daily.

Now, a new app helps you blast out kid minutae like artwork, awards, good grades, cute sayings and mementos to your inner circle without annoying everyone else. Keepy lets you take photos, crop and enhance them, and add audio commentary. Then, once you’ve shared your kid’s brilliance, Grandma et al can respond back via video. It’s also awesome for organizing that prolific stream of artwork that comes home from school. Just snap a pic, and then toss it, because it lives on -- in handy chronological order -- in the app. And should you deem something monumental enough for a larger audience, you can always share it on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
