Twilight star Ashley Greene may love a fellow vampire on the big screen, but in real life she's falling for a spider. The 24-year-old actress is reportedly dating Broadway leading man Reeve Carney, who plays Peter Parker and his superhero alter ego in Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.
"Ashley has always had a crush on Reeve and he finally was into it," a source told Us Weekly.
Both actors have been romantically linked to others in the recent past. Carney, 28, was rumored to have an off-screen romance with his Spider-Man love interest Jennifer Damiano. And Greene has a thing for musicians, having dated both Joe Jonas and Kings of Leon bassist Jared Followill.
"Ashley has been pining after Reeve for a long time. She's super close with Reeve's family and loves spending time with Paris, his sister, when they're both in L.A," another insider confirms about Carney's siblings, all of whom are also singer-songwriters.
But don't expect Carney and Greene to pop up in the tabloids after hitting the town every night. "She really is a homebody at heart and loves staying in with friends," the second source explains.
Still, the new couple did manage to show up at one New York City hotspot. On Tuesday, they went to PH-D at the luxury hotel Dream Downtown, where Greene reportedly asked DJ Jesse Marco to play LMFAO's "Sexy And I Know It" so they could hit the dance floor together.
