2. We Must Be Fit. We all know that good health is only half the picture; if we wheeze just running up a flight of stairs, how can we ever expect to dash across a football field to see if one of the two kids making out under the bleachers belongs to us and needs to be pulled out by the hair? We have to think about our blood pressure, our cholesterol and fat ratios because when the time comes that the protective mantle of ovulation and menstruation disappears, we are as vulnerable to heart disease as our beloved men. This is the time, too, to commit to exercise that relieves stress (stress? What stress??!!) and adds weight resistance to our bones so that the hobgoblins of osteoporosis and bulging discs don't "bench" us during the most important plays of our family's game.

3. We Must Have Sex. Countless studies have documented the health benefits of an active sex life for adults, but there are so many other considerations. First of all, a woman who is desired by her mate is prettier, calmer, and more confident than one who has given up the sexual ghost. Second, a woman who has a great sex life with her mate stands a better chance of staying married to that particular fellow. Third, and most important, a woman who thinks she's sexy and desirable has a more youthful and vital self-image. In other words, if you think you're irresistible and have the sex life to prove it, you're in a position to draw more stamina and endurance from your sex life than a vampire can suck from a virgin's neck.
