There's no blaming a body double on this Twitter nude pic.
The Newsroom star Alison Pill turned what was likely a private message to her fiance, Jay Baruchel, into a display she definitely didn't want the world to see. The 26-year-old actress -- best known for her roles in Milk, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and Midnight in Paris -- had tried to delete a topless photo but ended up posting it to Twitter instead.
Instead of trying to deny the fiasco after the fact, Pill faced up to her mistake.
"Yep. That picture happened. Ugh," she tweeted. "My tech issues have now reached new heights, apparently. How a deletion turned into a tweet... Apologies."
The image in question shows Pill lying back on a bed wearing big round glasses and a cute expression on her face. It would have been perfect for a TwitPic... had she been wearing a shirt. At least Baruchel didn't seem to be too put off by Pill's accidental display.
"My fiancee is an hilarious dork. #imustgladitdidnthappentomefirst," he tweeted. "Smartphones will get ya. CC @msalisonpill #vivaludditism."
We're just glad it doesn't seem like Pill has taken a page out of her Newsroom costar Olivia Munn's book. Pill has seemingly moved on from the scandal already, now tweeting about politics and the recent attack in Libya that left four U.S. diplomats dead.
