Break out your summer clothes and air conditioners, because the world could be hitting 98 Degrees soon.
Citing an unnamed source, Rumor Fix claims that the hit '90s boy band could -- and we emphasize could -- be planning a big reunion tour this summer. Adding a bit of validity to the rumor is the fact that the band's website was updated yesterday -- for the first time in a decade! -- and features a new 98 Degrees logo.
Rumor Fix's source says band members Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre will embark on a 15-city tour over the summer in July and August, and that an official announcement will come next week.
So far, the band hasn't made an official statement on the matter, and Us Weekly is hearing that any rumors of a tour are just speculation at this point. It does seem like a weird time for Lachey, 38, to be heading away from home, considering his wife Vanessa Lachey, 31, is pregnant with their first child.
However, as the child is due in the fall and 98 Degrees is planning on touring over the summer, it could be the last chance the group has to tour any time soon. Lachey is likely to get a lot busier once a little Lachey comes into the world.
98 Degrees was famous for hit songs like "Because of You," "If She Only Knew" and "Thank God I Found You." After selling more than 10 million albums worldwide, the band went on permanent (or so we thought) hiatus in 2002.
