Apparently tying the knot with Jessica Simpson on national television just wasn't enough for Nick Lachey. The former 98 Degrees star is gearing up for yet another TV wedding with fiancee Vanessa Minnillo!
TLC has snagged Lachey and Minnillo for a new special tentatively titled Nick & Vanessa's Dream Wedding, for which all of the couple's wedding planning and their actual ceremony will be filmed and televised.
The special is slated to air a couple of weeks after Lachey, 37, and Minnillo, 30, actually tie the knot and will include every step of their journey to the altar. We'll see footage from their joint wedding shower, watch Minnillo hunt for the perfect wedding dress and (hopefully) get to see some bachelor/bachelorette party action! The special will end, of course, with Lachey and Minnillo saying "I do" in front of their friends and family.
"We're lucky to have such passionate and loving fans, and we though partnering with TLC on this special would be the best way to share the exciting journey we're on with all the people that support us and our relationship," the couple said in a statement.
Frankly, we're a little surprised that Nick would do this all again. He famously married Simpson in 2002 and let MTV capture the ceremony (as well as the honeymoon phase) on their show Newlyweds. But it didn't end well, and the couple divorced in 2006. But it looks like Lachey doesn't believe in the reality TV curse, so here's hoping his second TV marriage will go the distance.
Now the big question is: Will Jessica want to marry fiance Eric Johnson on TV, too?
