All is not well in American Idol land. There had been reports last month that Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj were feuding, but both went on to deny those claims. It seems like they weren't so far off after all.
A video showing Minaj snapping at fellow judge Carey is making the rounds, and it's not very flattering for the "Starships" singer. Buckle up and enjoy the bumpy ride:
The incident reportedly started after she and Carey disagreed about a contestant during auditions Tuesday. Though it's hard to understand much of the video, which originally aired on TMZ, it's clear that Minaj is saying, "Get this s--t in control. Get in control."
Poor Keith Urban had to sit idly between the two of them as they hashed it out. Veteran Idol judge Randy Jackson tried to diffuse the situation, but to no avail. Producers finally had to end the auditions for the day so that Minaj, 29, and Carey, 42, could cool off. TMZ reports that this incident really upset higher-ups on Idol, who are concerned the two singers won't be able to exist alongside one another on the show for the long haul.
Minaj can later be heard saying, "I told them I'm not f--kin' putting up with her f--king highness over there. Figure it the f--k out. Figure it out."
Although the divas haven't said a word about this video, Ryan Seacrest did tweet about it yesterday: "Going to bed in Charlotte after an anything but dull day at #idol auditions. Hit u in morn."
To quote Nicki, will they be able to "figure it out"? We'll see!
