The music video for Nicki Minaj's latest single has dropped, and it definitely has our stamp of approval. "Right By My Side," which premiered Wednesday night, features Chris Brown (on vocals) and Nas (just being himself) as two men trying to win over the 29-year-old's affections.
Although the single, which debuted on Minaj's website on March 20, seemed to make us think that it was Minaj and Brown who were the pair who can't live without being right by each other's side, it's actually Nas who ends up winning the Trinidadian singer's hear. But is she happy about that? We'll let you watch the video to find out.
"Right By My Side," which comes from Minaj's sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, is currently No. 78 on Billboard's Top 100 -- but we've got to believe that the video will help it move up.
Brown's collaboration with Minaj comes close on the heels of his surprise pairing with ex-girlfriend Rihanna in February: The former couple recorded remixes of two singles, RiRi's "Birthday Cake" and Chris' "Turn Up the Music," each feature vocals by the other.
It looks like their unlikely detente may have ended, however; Brown and Rihanna recently stopped following each other on Twitter after Brown's freestyle cover of Kanye West's new song "Way Too Cold [Theraflu]" was interpreted to have dissed Rihanna. Hopefully Chris and Nicki can stay on better terms.
