You won’t find any wrinkles on 43-year-old Nicole Kidman’s face. And while the actress has consistently denied receiving Botox injections to aid her fight against aging, she finally admitted to German magazine TV Movie that she’s had help from the cosmetic drug in the past.
"I’ve tried a lot of things, but aside from sports and good nutrition, most things don’t make a difference," Kidman said. "I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it anymore -- I can move my forehead again!"
Kidman isn’t the only Hollywood star that has felt the pressure to stay looking young. Courteney Cox, 44, admitted she found Botox "fantastic and also horrible."
Both actresses acknowledged that it’s easy to go overboard with the injections, and a frozen, emotionless face is no good for anyone’s career.
Kidman’s four years of marriage to country star Keith Urban have brought a fair share of stress to the Australian’s life. The birth of the couple’s daughter Sunday Rose in July 2008 came with the late nights, unexpected tantrums and sleeplessness that all new moms experience. Urban also checked into rehab for cocaine addiction, something the couple ultimately credited for saving their marriage. This might have made Kidman stronger, but it probably didn’t help the worry lines on her face.
The actress told iVillage that her New Year’s resolution wasn’t to hit the gym or stop biting her nails, but to "enter the new year with (her) family very calmly."
Considering she wants to avoid premature aging and steer clear of any more Botox in her future, we think this is a great plan. The actress is currently nominated for a Golden Globe and SAG Award for her role in the Rabbit Hole.
