"Cate Blanchett, Russell Crowe, Nicole Kidman... and Geoffrey Rush are already household names. The stamps will be a constant reminder of the indelible mark they have made on Australia's identity and culture," Graeme John, Australia Post Managing Director, said in a statement.
Each stamp is worth 55 Australian cents, which is equal to 39 cents American.
"I have a vested interest in Australia," Nicole told the Sydney Morning Herald in response to the honor. "I want my children to live here at certain times of their life and see how wonderful it is. It would be lovely for them to lick a stamp, put it on an envelope and say 'that's my mum'."
If you could choose an American actor to lick and send, who would it be? I'm obviously going with my old standby -- George Clooney. Now you.
