Nicole Richie and Joel Madden are together, in love, and have two beautiful children -- but they are not married. Despite recent rumors that the adorable twosome tied the knot in a secret ceremony over the weekend, the Good Charlotte rocker is insisting that he and his girl have not yet made it official.
"I keep getting emails from old friends and family asking about a wedding. NO we didn't get married," Joel wrote on his band's Web site.
Though Star magazine's latest cover boasts that the parents of Sparrow, 1 month, and Harlow, 21 months, got hitched, both Joel and Nicole have said that they are in no rush to get married.
"I think for both of us, we are going to do it because we want to, not because that's what you do," Nicole told Larry King last May. "We're going to do it when the time's right."
And Joel agreed. "We're really focused on our family, and ... we already feel kind of married, you know? Our family system that we have down, we feel like this is a real family and marriage, one day it will come."
