Last month, Nicole Richie promised to fight back against the paparazzi who were "stalking young children" at her 2-year-old daughter Harlow's preschool. "You do not get to spend 200 dollars on a camera, and think that gives you a free pass to shadow my child," Richie wrote on her blog.
Now Richie, 29, is taking her fight one step further. According to TMZ, the style icon filed for a restraining order on Wednesday against a paparazzo. In the petition Richie alleges that the paparazzo "drives erratically around my children and others, yells, screams and attempts to scare us so that he can photograph our reaction. He trespasses on preschool property to photograph the children."
A judge granted Richie a temporary restraining order that will require the photographer to stay 100 yards away from her family (including son Sparrow, 1, and husband Joel Madden) and her daughter’s preschool.
In other Nicole Richie news, ABC has confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that she will star in a TV show she also helped to create. "The story revolves around a young, modern and professional woman who must balance her business and family relationships," Richie wrote on her blog. "She must deal with, and navigate the many ideas of what a woman's role is: modern vs. traditional." We wonder if the lead character will also have to deal with pushy paparazzi?
