Nicole Richie: My Dad Is Not Singing at My Wedding!

Though Joel Madden would love to hear Lionel Richie perform, his bride-to-be says it won't be happening

If Lionel Richie were our dad, we'd be begging him to perform a rousing rendition of "Dancing on the Ceiling" at our wedding -- but Nicole Richie doesn't exactly feel the same way. After her fiance, Good Charlotte's Joel Madden, told E! News that he'd "love Lionel to play a song" at his wedding, the starlet vetoed the idea in an instant.

"I'm not down (with that)!" Nicole told E! during a signing for her new book Priceless.

As for when the nuptials are going down, the reality star isn't talking. Despite solid rumors that the couple is planning a December bash, the bride-to-be joked to reporters that she was "never" getting married.

Madden didn't budge either, when asked about the wedding.

"Are we getting married? Of course we are, we're engaged," he said during an interview about Good Charlotte's new album Cardiology. "I don't know when it could happen with our schedules. I'm working this next year and a half."

Well, whenever these two tie the knot, we really wish they'd reconsider using Lionel's "Endless Love" for their first dance.
