Dinner and a movie, going to the theater, bowling, a drive in the country. Do you remember having fun with your partner before diapering, feeding and sibling rivalry took over your life?
According to an online poll of 467 parents by Parent Soup (www.parentsoup.com), one of the largest parenting sites on the Web and AOL, 39% of couples answered, "who goes out?" when asked about their nights "on the town."
Here's what people had to say about spending time as a couple:
My husband and I only go out with our family. We don't go to bars, haven't been to a movie in months! Our baby is expected in 3 weeks and I don't think it will have much impact on our social life. Right now I would much rather spend my time with my husband and baby. Let's see how that changes over the next few months!

I've learned that setting aside "date nights" helps. Saying at the beginning of the week, "we need to go to dinner one night this week - what works for you?" and then sticking to it. Get a babysitter to watch the kid - and go out to dinner and a movie.

My social life has actually picked up now because of the kids. Mommy groups, school friends etc. Instead of going to concerts and bars, we go to playgroups, Scouts and soccer practice.

My husband falls asleep on the couch every night by 7:30. Is it too much to ask for some conversation? I have lots of girlfriends to talk to, but sometimes I could really use a husband.
