No Butts About It: Alec Baldwin's 'Complicated' Nude Scene

It's been quite a while since Alec Baldwin has done a love scene. Fans will be pleased to hear that the 30 Rock star has some risqué scenes with Meryl Streep in the upcoming romantic comedy It's Complicated. However, there's one part of Alec we won't get to see.

Director Nancy Meyers told USA Today that Baldwin had a butt double in one of the movie's seduction scenes. Apparently Baldwin refused to show his own rear end, telling Meyers, "Mine's beautiful. However, I don't want to do that."

Ironically, just last month Baldwin was bragging about his behind to Entertainment Weekly.

"I have a great ass, if I may say so," he told the magazine. "That's a part of my body that needs no surgical enhancement or rearranging."

It's not unusual for celebrities, both in and past their prime, to use a "stunt butt" in a love scene. Christopher Walken and Kate Beckinsale have done it, to name a few. Sarah Michelle Gellar went with one for Southland Tales because she wanted the character to have a curvier rear. George Clooney's co-star Vera Farmiga used a butt double in Up in the Air because she'd given birth weeks before shooting the film. And Luke Wilson used one for My Super Ex-Girlfriend because he was feeling out of shape: "I thought it might be a good time to sit on the bench for that scene and let some other kind of more athletic guy take over there."

In case you're wondering, a professional booty model gets about $800 a day to stand in for a star. And the celebrity frequently chooses his or her own "stunt butt" from a series of photos. So even if we won't get to see Alec Baldwin's butt in a Meryl Streep movie this weekend, chances are the derriere in the film is Baldwin-approved.
