This is a big week for us design junkies. The New York International Gift Fair—where designers show all of their cool new spring goods—is underway at the Javits Center. It's kind of like our Super Bowl, except that it happens twice a year (again in August). Anyway! We'll be prowling the show all week long to share our favorite finds and trends.
First up: these gorgeous new cards by Whigby, a Canadian stationery company (I especially love their motto: "Perfectly Odd"). Whigby has reproduced images from the brilliant artist and author Maira Kalman's 2007 book The Principles of Uncertainty. I'm a big fan of Maira's work and I actually squealed with delight when I saw the six cards in this collection—just lovely.
The cards are printed on heavy recycled stock and come packaged in a clear sleeve with matching envelopes. You can pick one up for about $5 at Whigby.
