Oksana Grigorieva, the ex-girlfriend of Mel Gibson, who has since accused the fallen movie star of physical and verbal abuse (remember those leaked tapes?) , appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday for the custody hearing over their 9-month-old daughter Lucia.
The Associated Press reports that Grigorieva, 40, is the first of the estranged pair to show up in court as Gibson, 54 (who was recently unscathed from a car accident), has yet to make an appearance. A summary posted outside the courtroom (the case is closed to the public) indicated that attorneys would argue a motion to seize the passport of young Lucia (in one of the more shocking allegations, Gibson may have possibly attacked her as well as Grigorieva).
While the feuding former couple originally reached a confidential custody agreement months ago, attorneys have since "held repeated hearings in a case that was later launched." Neither Grigorieva nor either side's attorneys gave a statement Wednesday regarding the case.
