Startling photos of Oksana Grigorieva's bruised and discolored face, reportedly taken one day after an alleged fight with ex-boyfriend Mel Gibson, have been published online by Radar. The site reports that these images document injuries sustained in a physical altercation that the Russian singer has claimed took place at Gibson's Malibu estate on Jan. 6.
Grigorieva went to a doctor to be treated two days following the brawl, according to RadarOnline, and complained that she was experiencing terrible headaches. She was ultimately diagnosed with a concussion. When asked by authorities why she didn't seek medical treatment immediately after the alleged abuse, Grigorieva reportedly told them, "I was unable to go a hospital that night because I had no one to care for the children.”
The photos -- as well as previously leaked images of Grigorieva's damaged teeth -- are reportedly being used as evidence in investigations by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, as well as the Department of Children and Family Services (Grigorieva claims she was holding their infant daughter Lucia when Gibson, 54, attacked her). The photos and the now-infamous audio tapes are also said to be evidence in the couple's ongoing custody battle.
So far, Gibson has denied that he abused Grigorieva and his lawyers have argued that Grigorieva may have edited or tampered with the tapes (making them potentially inadmissible in court) and that she is simply trying to extort him.
