Older Models Walk New York Fashion Week's Adrienne Vittadini Show

What happens when women of a certain age strut their stuff? We rejoice!

This makes my heart feel good... In an industry that has pretty much deemed women "too old" when they reach their 20s, we were delighted to see older models present the autumn/winter fashions of iconic American sportswear designer Adrienne Vittadini at New York Fashion Week.

Just to name a few, Carmen Dell'Orefice (79, the epitome of ageless beauty), Carol Alt (50, who's got some fabulous curves) and Irina Pantaeva (43) -- "mature" per fashion's standards -- walked the runway in chic knits with edge. We even saw tight pants with leather accents! Hot!

So okay, they're still models. And yes, they have amazing bodies we want and kind of hate them for. However, it's a step in the right direction, don't you think?
