I never really understood how the Olsen twins were considered fashion icons. To me, Mary-Kate and Ashley look like little hobo bugs, with their giant sunglasses and Mrs. Roper-type dresses, but what do I know?
The girls are using their in depth fashion knowledge to write a new coffee table book called Influence.
It will feature “the most interesting, challenging, creative people we know — the ones who helped pave the way for us and our generation,” Ashley said in a statement.
"Ashley and I interviewed the people who have inspired us," Mary-Kate added, "With the hope that they will inspire and teach others."
Those to be included in the new book — due this fall — are shoe king Christian Louboutin, Lauren Hutton and Bob Colacello. Influence will also feature exclusive photos of the twins and never-before-seen interviews with the girls.
I hear Mrs. Roper already pre-ordered it.
