Long before he was the patriarch of the Kardashian household, Bruce Jenner was known as the World's Greatest Athlete. In 1976, the handsome 26-year-old took home the gold medal in the most grueling competition in the Montreal Summer Olympics: the decathlon. Not only did he win, but his score set a new world record. Jenner instantly became America's favorite athlete, and channeled his newfound fame into motivational speaking (he overcame dyslexia with the help of sports), racecar driving and television acting (he was a semi-regular on CHiPS). He also appeared on lots of cereal boxes!
