When the guys of One Direction say they want to live while they're young, they really mean it.
The music video for their new single "Live While We're Young" debuted on 1D's YouTube account promptly at 1 p.m. ET today, to the delight of screaming girls everywhere. The catchy tune is reminiscent of their previous hits "What Makes You Beautiful" and "One Thing," but it shows a more mature side to the British-Irish boy band.
At least it looks like these guys know how to have a good time. Niall Horan, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson spend the majority of the video just partying... but in the most adorable way possible. Whether they're rolling around in giant plastic blow-up balls or singing in a pool into giant inflatable microphones, they're haivng a blast. And when they sing the song's hook -- "Live while we're young" -- we can't help but feel like they're absolutely right.
The "Live While We're Young" video was originally slated to debut on Sept. 24, but the premiere got pushed forward by a few days after about a minute of the clip leaked early online. One Direction announced today on Twitter that they were moving up the release.
"We wanted our fans to see the video and hear the single in the proper way so we've moved the premiere to tonight," the band said in a statement. "We're really excited about 'Live While We're Young', we've worked really hard on it and we can't wait for everyone to see and hear it later today!"
The single premiered on the radio at noon EST. "Live While We're Young" is the second single off 1D's second album, Take Me Home, which hits stores on Sept. 30.
