Chicagoan Vince Vaughn made his very first appearance on Oprah yesterday, promoting The Break-Up. And although his gal pal/costar Jennifer Aniston didn't attend the taping, she was the topic of conversation.
On the tabloid report Oprah was throwing Vince & Jen an $8 mil wedding: "I'm expecting a pretty good band for $8 million."
On the rumors linking him to Jen: "I just don’t pay much attention to that stuff. I find it to be really ridiculous."
Although he said they don't plan to marry soon, he had nice things to say about la Aniston: "Jennifer's great. She's one of my favorite people. She's just really smart and funny and easy to be with – very considerate. She's great."
On starting a family: "At some point. I think [having children] takes a lot of focus, takes a lot of attention. I think it would be nice at some point to have a different priority … I think that time would come. But not any time in the near future for me."
But has he talked about being Jen's baby daddy? "No, I have not talked about having kids with Jennifer. First we have to have the $8 million wedding."
I gotta say that I'm pretty surprised that they lasted this long. They just seem so mismatched to me. He seems like the life of the party... and she is so guarded and reserved. It's not her fault -- I think she has to be. But, to me, they're an odd couple. I can see him being great to her though. He seems like a good guy -- loyal. But I wonder if she'll ever be truly happy. She just seems like a sad person to me... and everything that she said seems so rehearsed.
What do you think? Are they the real deal? Do you think they'll make to to the altar? If so, do you think they'll marry before Brangelina? Talk back.
