Oprah's 'Nate Berkus Show' Is a Go!

Berkus joins the ranks of Oprah-backed programs like Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz

While Oprah Winfrey may be signing off from her daytime talk show, her Midas touch with other TV shows remains a force to be reckoned with. Winfrey has helped transform Rachael Ray, Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz into household names. Next in line? Nate Berkus, the fan-favorite interior decorator, design expert and all-around cutie who’s been a frequent guest on Winfrey’s series for years.

According to Variety, The Nate Berkus Show has locked up a deal to air in major cities including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas and Washington D.C. -- and the buzz about the show is that it'll be a mix of talk, lifestyle and “personal transformation” segments.

Berkus, 38, first found success working with high-profile clients such as Wolfgang Puck and the W hotels. But over the years, Oprah fans have come to love his home-makeover and décor tips (and they became personally invested in his life on a more profound level when he survived the 2004 Sri Lankan tsunami in which he lost his partner, Fernando Bengoechea).

Although the excitement about Berkus' new show is building this week, insiders say The Nate Berkus Show isn't officially slated to hit airwaves until this fall.
