The Orgasm Pill: A Problem or a Solution for Women?

Naturally, the researchers are very interested to find out how these women do it. And when they're done, I've got a few questions I'd like to ask myself.

Like, how do they hold jobs? Or conversations? Do I know these women? Are they the women who never seem to be bothered by anything? Is it possible that the very cheerful woman I stood behind in line at the DMV recently was one of these women? Can they do it while their boyfriends or husbands are talking about politics or flat screen TVs? Can they teach me how to do it? Are they free, like, tomorrow? Or maybe after lunch?

Frankly, I can't stop thinking about these women who can have orgasms just by thinking, and part of what I'm wondering is, maybe this is how they got started, just by being obsessive, because I'm very good at that.

Giving New Meaning to "Going on the Pill"

But in pondering the topic further, it occurs to me that even if they can capture this mind-body orgasm phenomenon in some kind of a pill, would we really want that? If men knew that "what women want" is only a tablet away, where on earth will the poor things go with all their Viagra-induced enthusiasm for us? What will become of relationships between the sexes when a woman saying she's "going on the pill" actually means she's breaking up with you?

Certainly, men have their annoying attributes, but obviously, they are good for more than orgasms. Their willingness to get their hair all smoky when barbecuing chicken is just one example of the many adorable things they do for women, and I think we should remember '- and celebrate '- that.
