A Sweet Success for Sandra

"Did I really earn this, or did I just wear y'all down?" -- Sandra Bullock

Bullock won her first Oscar when Sean Penn announced her as Best Actress for The Blind Side. She thanked each of her fellow nominees individually, calling Gabourey Sidibe "exquisite," citing Carey Mulligan's "grace, elegance, beauty and talent," claiming she didn't have words to express how she feels about Helen Mirren -- and finally calling "my lover" Meryl Streep "such a good kisser!" Bullock turned serious when she tearfully thanked her mom, who passed away ten years ago. What a triumphant night, and what a long way she's come from her bus-driving days in Speed!
